DMCA Policy

1. No Hosted Content Policy

NXStation is strictly an informational website and a locally-executed frontend interface.

• We do not host, distribute, or link to any copyrighted video games, ROMs, ISO files, or firmware (BIOS).
• Images, artwork, and technical information on this site are utilized strictly under the principles of Fair Use for educational, demonstration, and compatibility reporting purposes, or are original project assets.
• When the NXStation application fetches cover art or metadata, it queries public, third-party databases (such as ScreenScraper) directly from the user’s local device.
• Data from these queries does not pass through, and is not cached on, any NXStation-controlled servers.

2. DMCA Takedown Notice Procedure

We respect the intellectual property rights of others. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), if you are a copyright owner or an agent thereof and believe that any content situated on this website or our associated GitHub repositories infringes upon your copyright, you may submit a notification via a GitHub issue titled “DMCA Takedown Notice”, including:

• A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent
• Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
• Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with information reasonably sufficient to locate it (URL or file path)
• Your contact information (email address and, if available, phone number / mailing address)
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
• A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner

Upon receipt of a valid notice, we will review the claim and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the material.

3. Counter-Notice Procedure

If you believe your content or contribution was removed by mistake or misidentification (for example, if a submitted code pull request or documentation edit was taken down), you may file a counter-notice through the same GitHub issues channel. We will review the counter-notice and, if appropriate in our legal discretion, may restore the material in question.

4. Repeat Infringer Policy

In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable law, NXStation has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, users, contributors, or community members who are deemed to be repeat infringers of intellectual property rights.

5. Asset Attribution Requests

If your original artwork, photography, or other creative work appears on this website or in project materials without proper credit, please contact us via GitHub Issues. We will gladly add proper attribution or remove the material if you require.
